These Terms govern your use of the RoxConnect mobile app and the website roxconnect.com (together, the “Service”), provided by Alexandre Morgado, sole trader (empresário em nome individual), Rua Francisco Alvo, Edf. Solar Horta, Lote 16, 8500-759 Portimão, Portugal, tax number (NIF) 251833925 (“RoxConnect”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

RoxConnect is an independent app. HYROX is a trademark of its respective owner; RoxConnect is not affiliated with or endorsed by HYROX. Race registration, rules and results are managed by the official organisers.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use RoxConnect.
  • Give accurate information, including your HYROX results, and keep your sign-in details secure.
  • One person, one account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Community rules

RoxConnect is about meeting other athletes, so we expect respect. You must not:

  • harass, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate anyone;
  • post sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content, or photos of other people without their consent;
  • send spam, advertising or unsolicited commercial messages;
  • misrepresent your results or level to mislead other athletes;
  • scrape, copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service, or use it to collect other users’ data.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You can report or block a user from their profile in the app, or write to hello@roxconnect.com.

Meeting other athletes

RoxConnect introduces athletes; we do not run background checks and we are not responsible for what happens between users offline. Meet in public places such as your gym, tell someone where you are going, and train within your limits. HYROX training and racing are physically demanding: check with a medical professional if you are unsure whether they are right for you.

Free and Premium

RoxConnect is free to use with some limits (for example, a number of new conversations per month). Premium is an optional subscription that removes limits and unlocks extra features, sold as weekly or yearly plans.

  • Premium is purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price in your local currency is shown before you subscribe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
  • We may change features or prices for future periods; we will tell you in advance and you can cancel before the change applies.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, text and messages you add. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and transmit that content only as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your profile to other athletes). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already received in messages.

Our app and brand

The Service, the RoxConnect name and logo, and the app’s code and design belong to RoxConnect. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works of it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep RoxConnect available and accurate, but the Service is provided “as is”. Some features need an internet connection and up-to-date app and operating system versions; your mobile provider’s charges apply. Race information (dates, venues, divisions) comes from public and third-party sources and may change — always confirm with the official organiser. We may update, suspend or discontinue features.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, RoxConnect is not liable for indirect losses, for the conduct of other users, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example, liability) survive termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.

Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or a Portuguese consumer arbitration centre.
