HYROX Melbourne runs over five race days at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in South Wharf, on the Yarra River next to the CBD. Every division is on the schedule, from Open and Pro to Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Relay, with waves running until about 8 pm each day, so agree with your partner which day suits you both before you register.

Getting to Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC)

• Tram: routes 96, 109 and 12 stop at Casino/MCEC (stop 124A) on Clarendon Street, right next to the Exhibition Centre entrance.
• Train: Southern Cross is the closest station — about a 10-minute walk, or a few stops on the 96, 109 or 12 tram.
• Car: the MCEC car park is entered from Normanby Road (2.2 m height limit) and can fill up early on busy event days; South Wharf and Siddeley Street car parks are nearby alternatives.

Race-day tips

• Your start time is published about three days before the race and can't be changed, so book travel after you and your partner have both seen your wave.
• Your race wristband only gets you into the venue on your race day; friends coming to watch need a spectator ticket.
• Bring photo ID to check-in — nobody can check in on your behalf, so both Doubles partners need to be there.
• December is early summer in Melbourne and the weather can change fast: bring water and a warm layer for before your wave and after you finish.
